Feel the medieval vibe

Weekend quest to Trosky Castle

Licensed by Warhorse Studios

Experience the Middle Ages first-hand. Not from behind a screen.

This isn’t a wellness retreat.
This isn’t an ordinary weekend in the countryside.
This is a two-day adventure through the Bohemian Paradise for a party ready to immerse itself in a world of medieval atmosphere, quests, fire, swords, taverns, maps, forests and Trosky Castle.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance brought to life. You’ll set out on foot from Rocktower Pond, continue through Vidlak and make your way to Trosky Castle. Along the way, you’ll complete quests, collect water from seven springs and search for the lost Mutt. In the evening, you’ll cook over an open fire, brew potions, play dice, drink and watch a fire show.

On the second day, you’ll learn sword fighting and archery, pose for photos in armor, visit Kost Castle and go for a swim.

We’re looking for a party of 7 to 20 adventurers—join us!

What to expect

Your guide Naty—in game-inspired costume

Your guide Natálie will look after you throughout both days. She is not only a player and fan of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, but also a native of the Bohemian Paradise. She knows the places where your adventures will unfold like the back of her hand.

Accommodation and a feast at the Knight’s Lodge

Where else should a party of adventurers stay but at the nearby Chalupa u Rytíře—“The Knight’s Lodge”? Right at the village called Knight’s Siege.

Your hosts will be Adam, the master of the homestead, and his wife Jitka. They’ll make sure you’re well fed and your cups never run dry, both during the evening feast and at breakfast.

Adam has completed several open-fire cooking courses, including courses led by chefs Marek Pavala and Hugo Hromas. He’ll teach you how you might have prepared your own food in the Middle Ages—and you’ll take part in making the feast yourselves.

Sword-fighting training with Lords of Michalovice

The historical fencing group Páni z Michalovic—the Lords of Michalovice—was founded in Mladá Boleslav in 1990.

The group specialises in full-contact Gothic fencing from approximately 1400–1450, using period costumes, full plate armour and historical weapons. For your training, however, they will also provide wooden practice swords, which you’ll have the option to purchase as a souvenir afterwards.

Who is this weekend for?

For fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance I and II, the Middle Ages, fantasy settings, castles, swords and experiences that cannot simply be passively “consumed.”

It’s ideal for:

  • groups of friends,

  • stag parties,

  • corporate team-building events,

  • community meet-ups,

  • gaming groups,

  • fans of Kingdom Come: Deliverance,

  • anyone looking for a weekend people will still be talking about long afterwards.

You’re not coming here simply to relax.
You’re coming here to step into the story.

Saturday: the road to Trosky, seven springs, a feast and fire

10:00 — Arrival in Rytířova Lhota

The adventure begins. From here, you’ll set out on foot through Vidlak towards Trosky Castle.

10:30–12:00 — Hike from Rocktower Pond via Vidlak to Trosky Castle

Approximately five kilometres through the landscape of the Bohemian Paradise. Along the way, you’ll collect water from seven springs, which will be transformed into a potion that evening.

Quest: The Seven Springs

13:00 — Lunch at Apolena pub

A stop to eat and regain your strength. Lunch at the restaurant is not included and is paid for individually by each participant.

14:00–16:00 — Guided tour of Trosky Castle

This time, you won’t see Trosky through a screen. You’ll stand directly beneath its towers, explore the castle and experience the views that have drawn visitors here for generations.

16:00–17:30 — Return journey via Podsemín Mill

The route back takes you past Podsemín Mill and returns to Rocktower Pond. Along the way, another side quest awaits: finding the lost Mutt and the drunken Gamekeeper Vostatek.

Side Quest: Find Mutt

You’ll return to the cottage, take a short rest and prepare for the evening.

A feast, drinks, dice, an arm-wrestling contest, potion brewing and a spectacular fire show await you.

Sunday: sword fighting, photos, Kost Castle and swimming

10:00 — Sword-fighting and archery lessons

In the morning, you’ll take part in a sword-fighting lesson led by experienced instructors from the historical fencing group Páni z Michalovic.

You’ll learn how to handle a sword, practise basic stances, movement, attacks and defence—and discover just how quickly real sword fighting makes you realise that this is nothing like clicking a mouse.

The programme also includes an archery lesson.

12:00 — Lunch

After the morning’s training, it will be time for lunch together.

13:00 — Photoshoot in armour

Armour, costumes and photographs that will look considerably better than the usual weekend snapshots.

15:00 — Trip to Kost Castle and a swim in the pond

The weekend concludes with a trip to Kost Castle and, weather permitting, a swim in the pond.

The game begins with a swim—and your real-life adventure will end with one.

18:00 — Departure
